Three times a year, the 1st – 8th graders participate in activities and games together. Student leaders use their time in Advisory to discuss possible games and to build a schedule for the day.
It is always rewarding to see our 1st and 2nd graders with their eyes glued on their team captains. The team leaders are expected to model excellent behavior for the younger students, as well as teach them the importance of teamwork, respect and responsibility.
Acquired skills are put to the test on Maccabia, the noisiest and most exuberant day of the school year. Rockwern’s Maccabia games are a non-stop “Rockwern Olympics” of wacky games, competitions and cheering between the school’s color squad teams, led by the school’s oldest students.
