AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Even when school's out, the fun keeps going with Rockwern's after school activities. From rollerblading to art to sports, there's something for everyone! 

Please note that space is limited for some activities. You will be notified if your selected class is full.
You may pay via check or online here (Note class info when submitting. Fees apply to online payments).

Monday Activities

Art Spark (ECEC3 & 4)
12:15-1:15 pm; no classes 1/21, 2/18

$144 paid directly to Art Spark
Sparklers will have the opportunity to learn all about a new art material each week of class! The art supply will be the star of the show as Sparklers learn all about techniques and skills you can achieve using them. We will delve into paint, watercolors, oil pastels, clay, Model Magic, plaster, glitter, and much more. Each week we will center our project around these magnificent art materials.

Israeli Folk Dance (All Grades including PreK)
3:30-4:30 pm; no classes 1/7, 1/21, 2/18

High energy and fun dance class for boys and girls! No previous dance experience is necessary.  The students will learn traditional dances as well as modern (summer camp style) dances.

 

Wednesday Activities


Who Buddies (ECEC3 & 4) *Different Schedule*

NOTE: 12 CLASS SESSION RUNS FROM NOVEMBER 28 TO FEBRUARY 27
Come explore, observe, experiment, and discover all about nature with Mrs. House. We will investigate a different animal, insect, fish, or reptile each week. Fiction and non-fiction stories are read followed by discussions and a project. Kosher snack will be provided.

 

Sports and Games (Grades K-4)
3:30-4:30 pm

We will play a variety of games such as tag, kickball, dodgeball, cooperative games, team building games, and sports. Improve your skills while having fun!

 

Art (Grades 3-7)
3:30-4:45 PM

Students will have the opportunity to choose from different media and work independently. Younger students will be required to do painting on canvas. Snack is included; students are welcome to bring their own kosher snack.

Tuesday Activities

Art (Grades 1-3 )

Students will have the opportunity to learn how to use Acrylic paints. Their first painting will be a still life, and then they will be able to choose subject matter for future paintings with my approval. Snacks are provided, but they are welcome to bring their own kosher snacks to class.

 

Jump Rope (grades K-7)
3:30-4:30 pm

Do you know how to do the Can Can or the Front Cross? Come join us for an hour of fun on Tuesdays after school. Students will learn basic jump rope skills, partner skills, long rope skills, and jump rope games. 

 

Private Piano Lessons (Grades K-7)

Teacher: Mrs. Shawn Wyatt

Private piano lessons for beginners to advanced students offered after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students will receive a ½ hour lesson once a week. We have fun learning through play, improvising, and reading skills. Contact Mrs. Wyatt to discuss scheduling and costs at shwyatt@rockwernacademy.org.
