26-27 School Year After-School Activities

Registration for Trimester 1 After-School Activities has closed, aside from WEBBY Dance and Amazing Athletes.

All After-School Activities are also open to non-Rockwern families, so be sure to invite your friends!

If class minimums are not met, families will be informed in advance of the first class and will receive a refund. Unless Rockwern cancels a class, there will be no refunds.


Monday

Theatre Arts with Rachel Westheimer & Laurie Carto
Grades K-8 | $105

Step into the spotlight! In this dynamic, hands-on workshop, students will explore the fundamentals of performing arts by developing their acting, singing, and dancing skills. Some choral music may also be prepared for optional off-campus performances.  

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 8 sessions between August 24 and November 9.  This activity will not meet on August 31, September 7, September 21, October 12, or October 19.


Tuesday

Amazing Athletes - Register
Ages 2-6 | $180 (+$30 annual registration fee - includes t-shirt)

Students will learn fundamental sports and movement skills through engaging games and positive instruction. This active class aims to teach coordination, balance, and confidence.

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:00 PM. There will be 12 sessions between August 18 and November 10. This activity will not meet on November 3.

Sports and Games with Joseph Moscato-Goodpaster
Grades K-8 | $145

Students will play a variety of cooperative and team-building games such as tag, kickball, and dodgeball, improving their sports skills while having fun!

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 11 sessions between August 25 and November 10. This activity will not meet on November 3.

Drawing and Painting with Diana Woloshin
Grades 1-3 | $165

Students explore different artistic techniques and express their creativity through a new, hands-on medium each week.  

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 11 sessions between August 25 and November 10. This activity will not meet on November 3.


Wednesday

WEBBY Dance - Register
ECEC 3 & Pre-K | $160 (+$25 registration fee)

This class focuses on building dance technique while nurturing memory, concentration, coordination, creativity, and self-confidence—all in a positive, supportive atmosphere.

This class takes place from 3:15 - 4:00 PM. There will be 13 sessions between August 19 and November 11.

NEW! LEGO Club with Noah Waspe
Grades K-3 | $180

Love LEGO? Looking for a place where your child can unleash their creativity? Each week, students will take on open-ended maker challenges and share photos of their creations. It is the perfect environment for your child to develop fine motor skills, solve problems, and build with LEGO!

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 12 sessions between August 26 and November 11.

Rollerblading with Joseph Moscato-Goodpaster
Grades K-8 | $160

Students will enjoy a fun and energetic hour rollerblading with friends! All equipment is provided.

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 12 sessions between August 26 and November 11.

Painting and Independent Projects with Diana Woloshin
Grades 4-8 | $180

Take your art to the next level! Designed for older students ready for more independence, this class offers guidance as artists work on their own projects and try out new media.

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 12 sessions between August 26 and November 11.


Thursday

Amazing Athletes: Karate Zoo - Register
Ages 3-6 | $180 (+$40 annual registration fee - includes t-shirt + karate belt)

Students will learn coordination, perseverance, and confidence in this introductory karate class that uses zoo friends to bring lessons to life.

This class takes place from 3:30 - 4:00 PM. There will be 12 sessions between August 20 and November 12. This activity will not meet on November 5.

Hebrew Conversation with Shiran Orlev
Grades 1-3 | $145

Students will enjoy a fun and immersive experience to deepen their conversational Hebrew skills. Through playing games, watching short Hebrew videos, role-playing, and conversing, students will sharpen their skills in speaking modern Hebrew with ease. 

This class will meet from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 11 sessions between August 27 and November 12. This activity will not meet on November 5.

NEW! Electronic Music Makers with Noah Waspe
Grades 4-8 | $165

No prior musical experience required! Learn how to compose original songs with easy-to-learn digital music-making tools, such as Chrome Music Lab and Beepbox. Participants will also learn audio editing basics with BandLab for Education.

This class will meet from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 11 sessions between August 27 and November 12. This activity will not meet on November 5.

Homework Help with Judy Diekmeyer
Grades 4-8 | $145

Students will receive dedicated guidance and support to complete their assignments, stay organized, and build effective study habits. This structured and focused environment gives participants a quiet space to ask questions and tackle their schoolwork with confidence.  

This class will meet from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. There will be 11 sessions between August 27 and November 12. This activity will not meet on November 5.
