Amit Netanel

Hebrew/Judaic Studies Teacher, Second Grade

Amit Netanel was born and raised in Moshav Segula in the south of Israel. He was a captain in the Israel Defense Forces and spent many years as an education officer. His background also includes leadership roles in the T’nuat Hamoshavim Youth Movement and tutoring work with underprivileged and at-risk youth in several after-school programs in Jerusalem.

Mr. Netanel holds a bachelor’s degree from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, and is the proud parent of a former Rockwern student, Bernard Netanel, who attended from kindergarten through sixth grade. Growing up, Amit was a member of a semi-professional award-winning Israeli folk dance group that performed all over Israel. Another personal fact that he loves to share is that he and his wife adopted their son from Guatemala.
