Dean Whitfield
Director of Technology & Innovation
Dean brings two decades of education experience in both teaching and leadership roles. Dean received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and a doctorate in instructional technology. He has experience at a Jewish day school as a physics/chemistry teacher and the science and math department chair, and he has served as the Director of Educational Technology for schools in Baltimore and Cincinnati.
Through these roles, Dean has championed the development of makerspaces, electives in game design and robotics, and coding clubs. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys time with his family, scouting, traveling, and keeping up with his children’s soccer games, tennis matches, and musical performances.
